Claremont, NC – Cargo Transporters is proud to recognize Randy Baxley as our December Driver of the Month.

Randy joined Cargo Transporters in March 2019 and has driven more than a quarter of a million miles as part of the company’s Short Haul fleet. Before beginning his driving career, Randy spent many years working in IT. After transitioning to trucking, he discovered a refreshing change of pace that continues to motivate him each day.

Reflecting on what he enjoys most about driving, Randy shared that the constant variety keeps his work fulfilling. “After a long career in IT, I like that driving is new every day. Every day has a beginning and an end,” he said. His fleet leaders nominated him for his strong work ethic, dedication, and a willingness to step up wherever he’s needed—qualities that have made him a dependable and valued member of the Cargo team.

When asked why Cargo Transporters has been the right place for him, Randy didn’t hesitate to point to the people. “Everyone takes care of each other. People care — it’s obvious when you see it,” he shared, highlighting the culture of teamwork and support that defines the company.
