Cargo Transporters, Inc. has committed a donation of $25,000 to Abernethy Laurels for their new Health Care Center capital project. “Abernethy Laurels is an amazing retirement community. The environment and services they provide are extraordinary,” says John Pope, Chairman of Cargo Transporters.
Abernethy Laurels, a not-for-profit retirement community located in Newton, is a working ministry of the United Church of Christ. They currently provide services for over 300 residents. Since the early 1970’s, Abernethy Laurels has been providing much needed services to those in Catawba County and surrounding NC communities.
“We are so proud to help with such an outstanding organization. We are making this donation to help provide updated facilities which in turn will provide state of the art care, comfort and convenience for all its residents,” says Pope.
