Cargo Transporters, Inc. has made a $10,000 donation to Wreaths Across America for the purchase of wreaths. WAA is a non-profit which makes holiday wreaths that are placed on hundreds of thousands of Veterans graves each year in December. The Wreaths project along with sponsor companies like Cargo Transporters and Truckload Carrier Association, want to make sure that those which served our country are remembered for their sacrifice. In addition to helping cover some of the costs of wreaths, the company will donate transportation services to get wreaths from the production facility in Maine to Arlington or other cemeteries across the country. “We are proud and honored to be able to participate in such a wonderful program,” says John Pope, Chairman.
This year is especially important because it is the 150th anniversary of Arlington Cemetery. The WAA organization has made a special effort to raise enough money to place a wreath on every single grave at Arlington. Arlington covers some 624 acres with more than 400,000 grave sites.
Cargo Transporters will also have multiple trucks where the company had donated the truck and the driver has given their time to transport the wreathes from the manufacturer in Maine to cemeteries across the nation to show their respect.
