Introducing the Cargo Lytx Score Challenge (CLSC), an internal company-wide event designed to encourage and reward safe driving, build camaraderie among our drivers, and boost morale — all while keeping our roads safer for everyone. Sponsored by DMC Insurance, the CLSC is a fun, innovative way to shine a spotlight on safe driving habits while celebrating the dedication of our professional drivers.
Where Safety Meets Sportsmanship
Modeled after the excitement of March Madness, the CLSC follows a bracket-style format, running from February 23 to April 7, 2025. Instead of basketball scores, our professional drivers compete based on their Lytx safety scores, which are calculated using in-cab technology that monitors key safe-driving behaviors, including:
- Smooth braking
- Consistent speed management
- Attentive and alert driving
By gamifying safe driving, Cargo Transporters reinforces our belief that professional truck drivers are true “athletes of the highway”—exhibiting skill, endurance, and precision every day.
How the Challenge Works
The CLSC features two competitive brackets:
- Local and Short-Haul Drivers
- Over-the-Road (OTR) Drivers
Each bracket starts with 64 drivers, matched based on their initial Lytx safety scores. Every week, the top performers advance to the next round until we crown a CLSC Champion.
This competition not only enhances safety but also strengthens our driver community—bringing teams together with a shared goal: being the safest driver on the road while having fun.
