Claremont, NC – Cargo Transporters is proud to recognize John Figueroa as our November Driver of the Month.

John joined Cargo Transporters in 2015 and has since surpassed one million miles driven. Now serving as a Short Haul driver, John was nominated for this recognition because of his outstanding personality, dedication, and the positive energy he brings to every day on the job.

For John, one of the best parts of driving is the quiet time it provides. “The personal time you get when you’re in the truck,” he said, describing what he values most about life on the road. Reflecting on what he’s learned throughout his career, John offered this advice to his younger self: “Don’t take yourself too seriously.”

When it comes to safety, John focuses on being proactive and mindful. “Be cautious and take care of things before they happen,” he shared — a mindset that has guided him throughout his years with Cargo.

Asked why he chose Cargo Transporters, John’s answer reflects both loyalty and appreciation: “I had heard a lot of good things about the company, and after starting I believe they are all true because I’m still here 10 years later. I love how they keep their drivers, the way they treat people, and the way they operate.”
