Honoring Service and Sacrifice: Rick Wyatt to Drive Cargo Transporters’ 2025 Ride of Pride Truck

At Cargo Transporters, being a freight carrier means more than moving freight—it’s about moving with purpose. We’re honored to have been selected by Daimler Trucks North America to receive one of this year’s Ride of Pride trucks. These custom Freightliner Cascadias are more than just trucks—they’re moving memorials, built to honor our nation’s military heroes. And this year, Navy veteran Rick Wyatt will proudly take the wheel.

A Veteran on a Mission

Rick Wyatt joined Cargo Transporters in 2010. Since then, he’s driven over 1.8 million miles. That number reflects more than miles—it speaks to Rick’s work ethic, commitment to safety, and pride in what he does. As a Navy veteran, he understands service and sacrifice, both on the road and off. Rick represents everything we stand for as a dedicated trucking company.

The Ride of Pride Legacy

The Ride of Pride program began in 2002 at Daimler’s manufacturing plant in Cleveland, North Carolina. In the wake of 9/11, a group of veterans at the plant came together to create a rolling tribute to the armed forces. That first design started as a sketch on a napkin. Today, it’s a nationwide tradition. Each truck is thoughtfully designed and built with patriotism and purpose.

Celebrating 250 Years of Service

This year’s theme—“Celebrating 250 Years of the Armed Services”—honors the long-standing legacy of our military. From the Revolution to modern day, every detail of this year’s truck, wrapped by Hyperformance Graphics in Conover, NC, is packed with history and pride. The truck will be showcased at events, parades, and industry gatherings across the U.S., including stops in Charlotte and Raleigh. As a freight trucking company serving the East Coast and beyond, we’re proud to carry this message everywhere we go.

Pride for Our Entire Team

Rick’s journey with Cargo Transporters reflects our core values—respect, service, and reliability. Whether managing Yard Logistics, moving freight across the East Coast, or honoring veterans, we stand for something bigger. As Rick drives the Ride of Pride truck across the country, he brings our story—and the story of every service member—with him.

Rick, thank you for your service. You make us proud. Every mile you drive is a tribute, not just to your past, but to the future we continue building—together.
