Honoring Heroes: Cargo Transporters Joins Wreaths Across America Convoy

As December approaches, Cargo Transporters, a leader in dedicated transport services, is gearing up to participate in a profoundly moving annual event, Wreaths Across America. This nationwide initiative is dedicated to honoring U.S. veterans by laying wreaths on the graves of fallen heroes across the country. For more than a decade, Cargo Transporters has played a crucial role in delivering wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery and beyond, driven by a deep commitment to service and remembrance.

This year, Cargo Transporters’ involvement goes beyond logistics, highlighting heartfelt stories of the drivers committed to the cause. At the heart of the convoy is Perry Carter, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and longtime Cargo Transporters driver, leading in his “Ride of Pride” truck to Arlington. Alongside him, Bruce Dollinger, who drives the “Proud to be an American, Ride of Pride truck, will be hauling wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery and participating in the events. Their journey will embody a mission of respect and remembrance. Additionally, two other dedicated Cargo Transporters drivers will be carrying wreaths and joining this mission, each mile they cover symbolizing a collective commitment to honoring and remembering those who have served.

Perry’s route will include stops at several communities in the Greater Charlotte Region, where residents can witness the powerful symbolism of the Wreaths Across America convoy. Cargo Transporters is also hosting an educational trailer at their terminal, inviting local families and dedicated staff to learn more about the mission behind the wreath-laying ceremony. By sharing these stories with the public, the company hopes to inspire the community to participate and honor the legacies of veterans nationwide.

In addition to Arlington, Cargo Transporters will be delivering wreaths to key stops like Greensboro and other North Carolina cities, reinforcing the network of support that connects Cargo Transporters’ fleet to communities dedicated to honoring veterans. Last year, Wreaths Across America saw over three million volunteers place wreaths across the country. This figure reflects a commitment shared by individuals, families, and communities to remember the sacrifices made by those in uniform.

For Cargo Transporters, this mission extends beyond business; it’s a cause woven into the company’s fabric. In a landscape dominated by truckload, dry van, and dedicated transport services, Cargo Transporters’ involvement in events like Wreaths Across America speaks to its values and dedication to serving communities both on and off the road.

Residents of the Greater Charlotte Region and beyond are invited to participate in this year’s event by sponsoring a wreath or joining the convoy for a day of reflection and gratitude. As wreaths are placed across Arlington and other cemeteries, each serves as a reminder of the lives we honor and the collective memory we uphold.
